Creating a New Timesheet
To create a new timesheet, select New from
the File menu and enter a file name at the prompt. The new file
will automatically become the current file and any times will be logged to the
new timesheet until another timesheet is opened or created.
Opening a Timesheet
To open a pre-existing timesheet, select Open
from the File menu and then browse to a timesheet. The opened file
will become the current file and times will be logged to
the opened timesheet until another timesheet is opened or created.
Saving a Timesheet
Times are automatically saved to a timesheet whenever a
task is clocked out, a new task is clocked in, or when a task is running and the
application is closed. No times are saved unless at
least one minute has elapsed.
Entering a Time
To enter a time, either click the Clock In
button, the Miscellaneous Task button, or use one of the
User Defined Task buttons. If the Clock In button is
clicked, the default task (defined in the setup screen) will be registered as
the time being tracked. If the Miscellaneous Task button is
clicked, the user may type in a task on the fly and the time for that
task will be tracked. Otherwise, the times relating to the selected
User Defined Task button will be tracked. An entry for the
selected task will be recorded once the task has been clocked out of provided
that at least one minute has elapsed.
Entering a Miscellaneous Time
Click the Miscellaneous Task button and then
enter the name of a task that you want to track when prompted. If the Task Name
dialog box is not cancelled, time tracking will commence for the miscellaneous
task entered.
Altering Clock In Attributes
To alter the task description or the start time
that the active task was clocked in, select Clock In Attributes
from the Edit menu. The clock in attributes
can only be adjusted if there is a task that is active.
Edit an Existing Timesheet
To edit an existing timesheet, first select Timesheet
from the Edit menu. When the Edit Timesheet Screen
opens, you may choose to add, update, or remove time records. Overlapping
time records is not allowed. Changes to the timesheet are not saved until the OK
button is selected and the screen is exited.
